The big anchor is Cincinnati Pride, usually in June, with a parade and festival that pulls in locals and visitors. You’ll still get warm days, cooler nights, and plenty going on without the Pride-weekend rush. The crowd is friendly but never overbearing, which adds to the overall charm. As far as gayborhoods go, your best bets are Northside and Downtown.

There’s a true sense of community and camaraderie among the regulars, yet newcomers are always made to feel welcome. This bar manages to strike a balance that most can’t... Cincinnati gay bars are all over the city rather than many in a single neighborhood. Tillie’s is truly a hidden gem. As much as we’d love to keep it to ourselves, it only seems fair to share it with the rest of the city.

For venues, start in OTR at Alice for dancing, DJs, and a big patio when the weather cooperates. To see more information about how your information is stored and privacy protected, visit our policies page.

Your guide to the best Cincinnati gay bars, LGBT venues and events

While many travel miles to participate in the annual Cincinnati Pride celebration, Cincinnati's queer scene thrives year-round.

Across the river in Covington, Bar 32 keeps it low-key with karaoke and inexpensive drinks; note that smoking is allowed at several of these spots. Tillie’s Lounge suits a smaller night out with karaoke, gay bingo, theme parties, and strong cocktails or mocktails, plus a dog-friendly patio. If you want lighter crowds and easier hotel rates, aim for September or early October.

Tillie’s Lounge is one of our favorite establishments in the city! Or spark your epicurean fancy at one of the many great restaurants, we hear their famous hot chili is amazing. For classic neighborhood-bar energy, try Rosie’s Tavern for pool, TouchTunes, and Jell-O shots.
